Crate Cafe is a space where good music, good food, good coffee and good people meet and create good vibes.
The original edgy open-air Crate Cafe, pictured here in my posts, was located on the main drag, just up from the beach in Canggu. But, they have since relocated to a bigger venue, which now incorporates an art gallery, concept fashion boutique and a brand new lounge area.
Crate Cafe is open for breakfast all day.
Seating was limited when I visited, so we were happy to share a table with other travellers. Now located at the northern end of Canggu, this popular cafe has a strong sense of community. The atmosphere is super-chilled, which makes this the perfect place to relax after a surf or a yoga session.
Sourcing produce from the local area, the menu is fresh with ingredients delivered daily.
Options include fruit smoothies, simple breakfast options and creative brunch dishes. I ordered ‘Peas Please’, which was a combination of feta, avocado, poached eggs, spinach, peas and pesto on top of sourdough bread and a smoothie served with a sugar cane straw. However, this cafe is also a haven for coffee-lovers, brewing their own blend, ‘CRATE COFFEE’.
The crew and I stopped by for brunch early one morning and then wandered down to the beach to soak up the sun on The Lawn.
Canguu can be a bit tricky to get to unless you are staying in the area, or have access to a scooter, but the venue offers a transport service on request, so it’s well worth a visit!
Be sure to add it to your Brunch in Bali BUCKET LIST!
